HiBean v1.4.0: AI Lab, Roast & Bean Labels, and Smarter Roasting ​

This release is about earlier insight, hands-free control, and faster retrieval/sharing.
AI prediction brings the next 2 minutes of temperature trend into the roast; voice marking keeps your hands on the roaster; filters + favorites make records/beans/profiles easier to find; label and video exports simplify sharing and review.

🤖 AI Lab ​

The biggest addition is AI real-time roast prediction.
During roasting, HiBean forecasts the next 2 minutes of temperature trend so you can spot likely RoR dips/spikes early and adjust before flavor is impacted.
This feature is still in early beta and may be unstable or inaccurate at times, but it is a milestone for bringing AI into live roasting.

We also added voice command marking to free your hands, and moved TTS into AI Lab for a single, unified control center.

  • AI Curve Prediction (Beta): Real-time forecast of the next 2 minutes of temperature trend.
  • Voice Command Marking (ASR): Mark key events (yellowing, first crack, second crack) hands-free. English supports custom commands. See Voice Command Marking.
  • TTS Announcements: All TTS settings now live inside AI Lab for unified voice controls.

🏷️ Roast & Green-Bean Label Designer ​

Labeling batches is a common workflow, but manual layout is slow and inconsistent.
The designer now supports both roast logs and green beans, with configurable fields and QR codes so printed labels can link back to full details in one scan.

  • Design and export printable labels for roast records and green beans.
  • Open bean label printing directly from the bean detail page.
  • Green-bean labels support fields like bean name, origin, process, variety, and notes.
  • Preset sizes like 50×30mm and 60×40mm.
  • Add QR codes to open full roast logs or bean details.
  • Green-bean QR codes use Deeplink routing (App first, Web fallback).
  • Export at 203/300/600 DPI for different printers.
  • One-tap sharing to the community.

🎬 Roast Replay Video Export (Mobile) ​

Sharing a roast replay usually means screen recording and editing.
Now you can export a short replay video in one tap and share it directly.

  • Export roast replays as ~30-second videos.
  • Videos save to your photo library for easy sharing.

⭐ Favorites & Community Sharing ​

As your data grows, favorites are hard to keep track of across devices, and importing profiles used to be tedious.
Cloud-synced favorites and link-based imports make discovery and reuse much faster.

  • Favorite profiles and roast logs with cloud sync.
  • Share profiles as community posts and import via post link or ID.
  • QR scanning supported for quick import.

🫘 Bean & Profile Organization ​

With more records and beans over time, filtering becomes essential. We expanded filtering across records, beans, and profiles so the right data is faster to find.

  • More filters for roast records, beans, and profile lists.
  • Link profiles to green beans.
  • Bean detail pages now surface related roast logs and profiles.
  • Filters and pagination for beans and profile lists.

📈 Curves & Control Improvements ​

Real roasts rarely match the original pace, so time-only replay can drift.
Time + Temperature triggers keep replay steadier, and ET RoR helps you read the environment more clearly.

  • ET RoR (environment temperature rate of rise) curve is available in live roasting and replay, toggle in Me → Settings.
  • Control replay triggers now offer By Time and Time + Temperature modes. See Control Replay Trigger.
  • Auto roast stability improvements: smoother control with automatic retries on intermittent device response.

🖥 Desktop Improvements ​

  • Window size and position are now remembered.
  • Default size set to 1280×800 with a minimum of 960×640.
